I would like to share an article that I enjoyed for my week of getting good habits back into my morning routine; I had no more routine in actuality. I needed a jump start and Faithful Workouts, (where the article I am sharing below was authored by Michelle), helped, along with Mindy Pelz fasting schedule for women. Take time to create a list of wins, and make a two to three task list for the day that is attainable, purposeful, and needed. Get to it. Contact me if you need support and help. “…celebrating your wins, no matter how small they seem. Somewhere along the way, we have forgotten the importance of celebrating our successes. As soon as we achieve a goal or reach a milestone, rather than taking the time to celebrate, we’re already going after our next goal. In our fast-paced society, it is easy to get caught up in this cycle.

But taking the time to celebrate your successes, both large and small, is an integral part of the goal process that you don’t want to skip. Not only does celebrating success feel good in the moment, but it also sets you up for future success. It’s also so important that we take time to thank God for all that He is doing through you. Isn’t it awesome that He wants us to experience an abundant life and is there to help us with all areas?

Choosing to exercise daily is hard, so celebrate all your successes along the way to keep yourself motivated.

Give yourself some credit when you accomplish a goal. Accountability partners, friends, and small groups are great places to share your successes and get support.

Most importantly, celebrate behavior changes and not just reaching a certain number on the scale. For example, if you met your goal of exercising for 40 minutes, 3 times a week, or eliminated added sugar from your diet for the last week, maybe it’s time to reward yourself by getting a massage or pedicure, or buying a new exercise top.

Something to Think About:

Progress is progress, no matter how small, so be proud of every win!

Take a moment to write down 3 wins that you’ve had. Thank God for His help in achieving these wins. Don’t be concerned about the size of the win, just be grateful for it!

Nutrition Tip:

I follow an 80/20 approach when it comes to the way I eat. 80% of the time, I eat really healthy, and 20% of the time, I eat somewhat healthy. I’ve done this for so many years, and I think the reason I stick with it is that I don’t feel restricted. If I eat something, like French fries, I know it’s in my 20%. I don’t beat myself up and think I’ve failed, but I know it’s not the way I’m going to eat every day.

I hope this makes sense. I know that when I eat this way, I still feel like I am honoring God and caring for His temple. I feel I am properly fueling my body. I have strength and energy. I am excited to eat this way the rest of my life.
