Empower yourself with information about your health PART 2

Nutritional Consultation and Holistic Health

Nutrition is more than what you eat, but how you nourish and care for your whole self. During a consultation, all aspects of your health will be taken into account.

The consultation consists of a comprehensive personal interview which evaluates diet, health history, current health concerns, supplements, and medications, along with lifestyle, constitution (immediate family history), and daily workload. You will gain a better understanding of what your body needs and what steps you must take to be healthy.

An estimated 50% Americans take nutritional supplements. You can eliminate a lot of guesswork, while working with a trained professional who can assist you in developing a nutritional program that is tailored to you as an individual.

Holistic healthcare is the use of therapies that are designed to enhance well-being by promoting health for the whole person, rather than a specific symptom or disease only. It promotes health by assisting balance of mind, body and spirit. Scientific studies indicate the mind-body connection is an important aspect of health and wellness. the concept can be summed up in this biblical proverb, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

I believe that health is an ongoing process involving the whole individual who can become empowered through education and knowledge. My goal is to teach others the best possible ways to improve the quality of their lives. I practice a client centered approach to wellness enabling the individual to make choices that best fit their lifestyle, budget and mind. I endeavor to restore wholeness to each individual by helping them maintain control over their healthcare choices.

The following are services that can be used in consultations and coaching sessions. I will indicate the services off site and on site. I can interpret all results from the tests listed.

Hair mineral analysis: in office sample/off site lab: See part one of this blog to learn more about Mineral analysis.

Biofeedback: in office: Stress can become habitual and you can even forget how to relax sometimes; however, biofeedback can teach you how to get back to a more relaxed state. Although biofeedback is helpful to treat stress, it can also help a number of other conditions listed on my web page.

Saliva testing: off site sample and lab: thyroid panel, gastro-intestinal health panel using saliva and bowel, adrenal stress index, female and male hormone panels, post menopause hormone panel. Saliva testing is non-invasive and can be performed wherever you are. There are no stressful blood draws or bio hazards. With blood tests, a number of borderline conditions may be missed. Hormones can either be free, as in saliva, or bound to protein, as in blood. Research has determined that the free hormone fractions found in saliva most significantly influence living cells. Saliva tests help minimize using too much or too little natural hormone replacement and supplementation, insuring proper hormones in the appropriate amounts.

Other tests that can be used are: Amino acid profile (a urine test) and Bone Marker Test (a urine test). I can discuss these if you feel you would want to look into these tests.

WHAT IS HAIR MINERAL ANALYSIS?

Hair is used as one of the tissues of choice by the Environmental Protection Agency in determining toxic metal exposure. A 1980 report from the E.P.A. stated that human hair can be effectively used for biological monitoring of the highest priority toxic metals. This report confirmed the findings of other studies in the U.S. and abroad, which concluded that human hair may be a more appropriate tissue than blood or urine for studying community exposure to some trace elements

WHY USE THE HAIR? WHY NOT USE THE BLOOD?

Hair is ideal tissue for sampling and testing. First, it can be cut easily and painlessly and can be sent to the lab without special handling requirements. Second, clinical results have shown that a properly obtained sample can give an indication of mineral status and toxic metal accumulation following long term or even acute exposure.

A HTMA reveals a unique metabolic world: intracellular activity, which cannot be seen through most other tests. This provides a blueprint of the biochemistry occurring during the period of hair growth and development.

WHY TEST FOR MINERALS?

Trace minerals are essential in countless metabolic functions in all phases of the life process.

  • Zinc is involved in the production, storage and secretion of insulin and is necessary for growth hormones.
  • Magnesium is required for normal muscular function, especially the heart. A deficiency has been associated with an increased incidence of abnormal heart conditions, anxiety and nervousness.
  • Potassium is critical for normal nutrient transport into the cell. A deficiency can result in muscular weakness, mild depression and lethargy.
  • Excess sodium is associated with hypertension, but adequate amounts are required for normal health.

In the words of the late author and noted researcher, Dr. Henry Schroeder, trace elements (minerals) are “…more important factors in human nutrition than vitamins. The body can manufacture many vitamins, but it cannot produce necessary trace minerals or get rid of many possible excesses.”

WHAT CAN CAUSE A MINERAL IMBALANCE?

There are many factors to take into consideration, such as:
Diet – Improper diet through high intake of refined and processed foods, alcohol and fad diets can all lead to a chemical imbalance. Even the nutrient content of a “healthy” diet can be inadequate, depending upon the soil in which the food was grown or the method in which it was prepared.
Stress – Physical or emotional stress can deplete the body of many nutrients while also reducing the capability to absorb and utilize many nutrients.
Medications – Both prescription and over-the-counter medications can deplete the body stores of nutrient minerals and/or increase the levels of toxic metals. These medications include diuretics, antacids, aspirin and oral contraceptives.
Pollution – From adolescence through adulthood the average person is continually exposed to a variety of toxic metal sources such as cigarette smoke (cadmium), hair dyes (lead), hydrogenated oils (nickel), anti-perspirants (aluminum), dental amalgams (mercury and cadmium), copper and aluminum cookware and lead-based cosmetics. These are just a few of the hundreds of sources which can contribute to nutrient imbalances and adverse metabolic effects.
Nutritional Supplements – Taking incorrect supplements or improper amounts of supplements can produce many vitamin and mineral excesses and/or deficiencies, contributing to an overall biochemical imbalance.
Inherited Patterns – A predisposition toward certain mineral imbalances, deficiencies and excesses can be inherited from parents.

CAN VITAMIN REQUIREMENTS BE DETERMINED FROM A MINERAL TEST?

Minerals interact not only with each other but also with vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Minerals influence each of these factors, and they, in turn, influence mineral status. Minerals act as enzyme activators, and vitamins are synergistic to minerals as coenzymes. It is extremely rare that a mineral disturbance develops without a corresponding disturbance in the synergistic vitamin(s). It is also rare for a disturbance in the utilization or activity of a vitamin to occur without affecting a synergistic mineral(s). For example, vitamin C affects iron absorption and reduces copper retention. Boron and iron influence the status of vitamin B2. Vitamin B2 affects the relationship between calcium and magnesium. Vitamin B1 enhances sodium retention, B12 enhances iron and cobalt absorption, and vitamin A enhances the utilization of zinc, while antagonizing vitamins D and E. Protein intake will affect zinc status, etc. Therefore, evaluating mineral status provides good clues of vitamin status and requirements. Continuing research at Trace Elements involves the recognition of many synergistic and antagonistic interrelationships between minerals and vitamins.

IS HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS SUPPORTED BY RESEARCH?

Hair tissue mineral analysis is supported by an impressive body of literature in a variety of respected national and international scientific publications. Over the past twenty-five years hair mineral testing has been extensive. Each year in the United States alone, federally licensed clinical laboratories perform over 150,000 hair mineral assays for health care professionals interested in an additional screening aid for a comprehensive patient evaluation. This does not take into consideration the thousands of subjects used in numerous continuing research studies conducted by private and government research agencies.

Viruses, Nutrutional Immuno-Modulators and Metabolic types as viewed through Hair Tissue Mineral Patterns

I have used mineral analysis for over 20 years. They have changed my life. Mineral balancing is crucial to our well being. Balancing in general, of all things, is crucial to our well being. We can be taking in the correct foods, liquids, minerals, and vitamins, but without the correct balancing to it all, it can be a mishap in our system. The following article is snippets from a newsletter article; the information is amazing. Contact me to set up an initial consultation to find out more about mineral analysis and wellness coaching. I am ready to help you create the healthy life you long for. Jeana

David L. Watts, Ph.D., Director of Research

The immune system is a complex network consisting of
cells, tissues and organs and their coordination is required
to protect the body from infectious pathogens and noninfectious foreign substances. It is essential for the immune
system to be at its optimum for resistance to invading
pathogens and for the development of immunity.
Optimization of the immune system depends upon many
factors, not the least of which includes our nutritional
status, but also the psycho-neuro-endocrine system.
Branches of the Immune System

Immune Imbalance
When the immune system is not compromised and has
dealt with a threat, the systems return to a homeostatic
balance. I rather use the term rheostatic balance as cells
and biochemical defense systems in body are constantly
alert, on guard and ready to mount a defense toward an
invader, similar to a standing army. However, it is well
known that a branch of the immune system can become
overactive and become detrimental to the host. This is due
to the potential antagonism between the CIR and HIR
immune response causing autoimmune conditions. Further
discussions can be found in the following link;
https://traceelements.com/Docs/News%20Jan-Feb%2002.pdf. In
summary, the CIR (thymus-parasympathetic) can become
dominant suppressing the HIR (adrenal-sympathetic).
Conversely, the HIR (adrenal-sympathetic) can become
dominant and suppress the CIR (thymus-parasympathetic).
Other researchers have found this to be the case. Harrison,
found an inverse relationship between humoral and cellular
mediated immunity in subjects at risk of insulin dependent
diabetes. It is speculated that in an autoimmune disease,
such as insulin dependent diabetes, the pancreatic beta cells
are destroyed or impaired by the T-cells, which is associated
with cell-mediated immunity. It is interesting that HTMA
patterns of patients with adult onset diabetes, are
commonly associated with the slow metabolic mineral
pattern, or increased cellular immune activity. Other
studies have reported finding an imbalance between the
cellular and humoral response in conditions such as lupus,
rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren’s Syndrome, Chron’s disease
and celiac disease. In other words, it is very evident that the
cellular immune response can over-power the humoral
immune response and vice-versa. The following statement
by Katz illustrates this point very well, “..it is becoming
increasingly well documented that, in some animal models
and in humans, the humoral immune system can act to the
detriment of the host and indeed, block the activity of the
cellular immune system in its attempt to destroy
neoplastic cells.”
https://traceelements.com/Docs/News%20March-April%2094.pdf.
When discussing or treating autoimmune conditions, one
must consider which branch of the immune system to
support rather than generally treating the immune system as
a whole.

Viruses and the Immune System
Viruses activate the CIR, which I mentioned previously is
also a thymus response in tandem with a parasympathetic
response. Bacteria however tend to activate the HIR in
conjunction with an adrenal and sympathetic response. As
viral infections are more common than bacterial infections
and due to the present day incidence of COVID-19, I will limit
this discussion to viral conditions.

HTMA Patterns and CIR
HTMA studies have shown distinct mineral patterns
associated with an elevated CIR and autoimmune conditions
associated with excessive CIR. As mentioned previously, the
CIR is associated with a parasympathetic mineral pattern and
it can be surmised that a parasympathetic mineral pattern
may predispose the body to viral susceptibility due to a
number of factors.

Elevated Tissue Calcium and Viral Activity
One factor that increases viral susceptibility is elevated
tissue concentrations of calcium. Viruses use the calcium
signals to enter cells and to create an ideal environment for
their replication. (Cell Calcium, 2009)
“The exact mechanism behind viral latency or viral replication
is not totally known. However, a group of researchers
explored this phenomenon in relation to the Epstein Barr
virus, and their findings were reported in SCIENCE in 1986.
Lymphoid cells were infected with the Epstein Barr genome.
The Epstein Barr virus would either replicate slowly or remain
dormant. Dormancy of the virus could be overcome a
number of ways such as super-imposing a super virus or by
introducing tumor promoting agents. The tumor promoting
agents that activated the Epstein Barr virus also activated a
cellular enzyme protein kinase C that is calcium dependent;
therefore, they studied the effect of increased cellular
calcium concentration on the lymphatic cells. They found
that calcium modulation was of primary importance in
activating the Epstein Barr genome. Other studies have been
reported that implicate calcium in regulating the infection of
human B-lymphocytes by Epstein Barr virus. When calcium
entry into the cells was blocked, the Epstein Barr virus
transformation was inhibited.”
https://traceelements.com/Docs/News%20Nov-Dec%2089.pdf.
The Journal of Virology (2010) published findings that the
West Nile (WNV) virus infections lead to a rapid and
sustained calcium influx into the cells resulting in extending
the survival of the WNV within cells. They found that
reducing the influx of calcium into cells by various methods
during an early infection decreased viral yield.

Calcium Antagonism and Viral Inhibition
It is apparent that reducing cellular calcium influx would
also help to reduce cellular viral influx and replication.
Interestingly, hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug can
contribute to anti-viral activity by reducing cellular calcium
influx. (Chloroquine Inhibits Ca2+ Signaling in Murine CD4+
Thymocytes. https://www.researchgate.net/journal/1421-
9778_Cellular_Physiology_and_Biochemistry)
Also interesting is that elevated calcium concentrations are
found in those with sickle cell disease, a condition
associated with malaria. (Prog Clin Biol Res.) (Sci Rep. 2017)
There are many drugs designated as calcium channel
blockers which one can wonder if they may impact viral
replication by their action. Apparently, calcium channel
blockers such as verapamil increases the concentrations of
chloroquine in the cell. Of course there are natural
nutritional calcium blockers available such as phosphorus,
magnesium, and Vitamin A.

Latent Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is present in
approximately ninety percent of humans worldwide and is
frequently established following a viral episode such as
mononucleosis. EBV is a member of the herpes virus
family. Usually dormant, chronic EBV activation can lead to
lymphoma, and other health conditions. Recent
investigations have found that in individuals who have a
genetic defect in the magnesium transporter 1 have high
levels of EBV. Conversely, individuals with chronic EBV
infections had low amounts of basal free magnesium levels
in their cells, even though bound levels of magnesium were
found to be normal. Ninety-five percent of the magnesium
present in the cell is bound and the rest is in a free form. A
reduction in free cellular magnesium concentration is
associated with a defect in the expression of the natural
killer activating receptor in natural killer cells, CD8 T cells
and reduces the cytotoxic response against EBV. With
magnesium supplementation, a restoration of the
concentration of free cellular magnesium results in reduced
EBV infected cells. Therefore, magnesium homeostasis is
important for antiviral and antitumor immunity. (Science.
2013)

Copper Excess and Pro-Viral Activity
We consider copper as a pro-viral agent. It has an
antagonistic effect on the mineral zinc which is known to
have anti-viral properties. We often see elevated HTMA
copper in individuals who have had or who are suffering
from viral episodes, including mononucleosis, AIDS, EBV,
CMV, etc. Copper also acts synergistically with calcium and
enhances increased tissue calcium accumulation and
thereby, predispose the cell to viral replication. (Virol J.
2017) I realize there are a lot of statements on the internet
promoting copper as an anti-viral agent which I find a bit
questionable. Copper has long been known for its
antimicrobial properties particularly toward bacteria.
Bacteria such as staph, MRSA and C. difficile, etc. were
destroyed almost immediately when exposed to copper
surfaces with almost 100 percent within a couple of hours
which is why many hospitals use copper coated surfaces
and bed rails which has reduced hospital-acquired staph
infections tremendously. While COVID-19 is known to take
up to 4 hours to degrade on copper surfaces. It is possible I
suppose that the effect of copper on viruses could be due to
differences between RNA and DNA viruses.

Anti-Viral Properties of Zinc, Molybdenum and Vitamin C
Zinc is also well known for its anti-viral properties. Zinc is
also antagonistic to the mineral copper. Perhaps the reason
that chloroquine has some anti-viral effects is due to its
ionophore action. Chloroquine enhances the transport of
zinc across cell membranes and into cells. Zinc is a strong
inhibitor of RNA viruses by inhibiting RNA polymerase.
Pneumonia is a major cause of death in children less than
five years of age. A double-blind placebo-controlled clinical
trial of 270 children found that zinc supplementation in the
amount of 20 milligrams per day resulted in accelerated
recovery from pneumonia. The mineral zinc also helped to
reduce antimicrobial resistance and decreased multiple
antibiotic exposure as well as reduce complications and
deaths. (Brooks, et al. Lancet, 363, 2004) Low zinc levels
during a viral infection is often associated with a loss of
taste and smell, which has been reported in individuals
contracting COVID-19, but is common in most severe viral
infections. White spots showing up in the fingernails
following a viral infection are also an indication of zinc
deficiency.
Vitamin C and molybdenum are also known to be anti-viral
due to their copper antagonism. Both zinc and vitamin C
have been reported to be effective in treatment of those
who have contracted COVID 19 and other viruses such as
HIV. A number of studies are being carried out in the U.S.
and abroad on the therapeutic effectiveness of zinc and
vitamin C in COVID -19 patients.

Anti-Viral Properties of Niacin and Vitamin A
We have found that HIV is associated with elevated tissue
concentrations of copper in a number of studies we have
performed at TEI. As stated previously, we categorize
excess copper as being pro-viral. Excess copper increases
the oxidation of vitamin C and can contribute to pellagra. It
has been found that individuals who have contracted HIV
virus progressing to AIDS and ARC, develop a pellagra-like
condition. Tryptophan levels are extremely low along with
niacin contributing to NAD depletion. Dietary niacin therapy
led to an increase in tryptophan levels in those affected.
Normally tryptophan is converted to niacin, but providing
tryptophan would potentially increase concentrations of
neurotoxic intermediates. (Lancet. 2003) (Nutrition. 2001)
Vitamin A is synergistic to zinc and also lowers tissue
calcium and is therefore, considered to be anti-viral. Vitamin
A is known to combat respiratory tract viral infections that
contribute to pneumonia. One mechanism for vitamin A’s
effectiveness is that it can contribute to down regulation of
IL-6 and reduce hyperactive T cell response to viruses and
reduce the hyperactive cytokine storm. (Penkert,R, et.al.
2017) (Liang, Y, et al. 2013) Vitamin A is essential for healthy
mucous membranes, the first defensive barrier to
microorganisms.

Cytokine Storm and Hyperactivity of the CIR
Cytokine production is a normal consequence of viral
infections. However, when the cellular immune response
becomes over active a cytokine storm can develop and be
detrimental to the host. On the basis of research into the
immune system, Notkins and colleagues made the following
statement, “…there is growing evidence that cells are
damaged not directly by replicating viruses but by a specific
immune response that produces the symptoms of the
disease.” The authors site Clemens von Pirquet, an Austrian
pediatrician who more than 60 years previously, speculated
that the immune response may be responsible for injury to
tissues. Wallace P. Rowe, a virus researcher at the National
Institutes of Health, later confirmed von Pirquet’s suspicions.
His experiments involved the study of the lymphocyte
choriomeningitis (LCM) virus. When introduced into lab
animals the virus spread rapidly throughout the body. In six
days the animals began to show an immune response to the
virus, developed meningitis and died. To determine the
immune systems involvement, Dr. Rowe performed another
experiment, in which he exposed one group of animals to
radiation, as radiation is known to suppress the immune
response. Whereas, in the control group, the immune
system was not suppressed. After the LCM virus was
introduced into the animals, the virus spread throughout the
bodies of both groups.
The control animals developed meningitis and died, as in
previous experiments. However, the immune suppressed
group did not develop meningitis. Rowe, therefore found
that the meningitis was caused not by the virus itself, but by
the body’s immune response to the virus.
https://traceelements.com/Docs/News%20March-April%2094.pdf
In order to control the cytokine storm seen in COVID-19
cases as well as other viruses, immune-suppressants are
used effectively, such as steroids, and other immunosuppressing drugs such as tocilizumab.

Trace Elements and the Immune System
Lukac, et al reported the importance of trace elements on
the immune system. They play an important role in
physiological processes that are crucial for normal
functioning. The authors also state that deficiencies of trace
elements are often found with infectious disease and can
therefore, influence susceptibility, course and outcome of a
number of viral infections. Further, “Some trace elements
inhibit viral replication in the host cells and therefore have
antiviral activity. Many trace elements act as antioxidants or
are able not only to regulate the host immune response but
also to alter viral genome.” (Lukac, 2007)
It is known that nutritional deficiencies exist in the early
stages of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
Botswana, has one of the highest rates of HIV infection in
the world and early treatment in the population with
antiretroviral therapy (ART) can be slow and difficult. A trial
using multivitamins was conducted involving over eighthundred HIV patients in the early stages of HIV and who
were not on ART. The vitamins included B complex along
with vitamins C, E and selenium. The study was conducted
over a two year period and found that nutritional
supplementation was safe and significantly reduced the risk
of a decline in immunity as well as morbidity among those
treated compared to a placebo group. (Baum, MK, et al.
2013.)
Viral Complications and Metabolic Types Based Upon
HTMA Patterns

Viruses are responsible for most infections in industrialized
populations. From HTMA studies that we have performed
around the world (over one million) we have found that the
majority of individuals have parasympathetic dominant
mineral patterns (approximately 70% average) making them
more susceptible to complications of viral infections. This
mineral pattern is associated with dominant cellular immune
activity. The following chart shows the percentage of
metabolic types in different countries based upon HTMA
patterns we have performed.
Interestingly, it appears that in countries with a higher
population of Parasympathetic dominance (CIR), death rates
are higher compared to countries with a lower percentage of
Parasympathetic dominance (CIR). As of this date, we can
see Norway appears to have the lowest percentage of
Parasympathetic metabolic types and has fewer deaths per
confirmed case from COVID-19 compared to countries such
as England and Italy. However, the HTMA metabolic
patterns do not take into consideration the age of the
population and those other factors that may contribute to
vulnerability to the virus.
Although specific nutrients or drugs would not prevent
anyone contracting a virus we can surmise that specific
nutrients may aid in reducing complications of viral
infections. Anti-viral nutrients in individuals with a dominant
CIR include; magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, molybdenum,
selenium, vitamin C, vitamins A, B1, B3 and E. Synergists to
these would also include; vitamin B6, and amino acids such
as methionine. Nutrients or products that would further
stimulate the CIR such as; calcium, copper, vitamin D,
thymus, Co-Q10, colostrum, etc, would be contraindicated,
as these nutrients enhance increased cellular calcium
concentrations.
For sympathetic types having an elevated HIR
(approximately 30% of population) then calcium,
magnesium, vitamins D, B2, B1, thymus, colostrum and coQ10 would be indicated.
We should also remember that the endocrine system is
also involved in immune function and balance. A
disturbance in the HPA and gonadal axis can impact and
produce a compromised immune response which should
also be addressed. Some hormones can be categorized as
anti-viral or pro-viral. Reports of individuals with COVID-19
have found that progesterone may help in preventing
complications from the COVID virus as it appears to help
reduce inflammation. Progesterone as well testosterone is
associated with the mineral zinc and along with zinc lowers
copper as well as estrogen. Hormones that increase
parasympathetic activity and CIR dominance could be
considered pro-viral and include; Estrogen, Insulin and
Parathyroid Hormone. Anti-Viral hormones, those that
raise sympathetic activity and HIR activity include;
Progesterone, Testosterone, and Thyroid. Further
discussion can be found at;

wise words from a fellow practitioner

I am sharing these words from a fellow practitioner because I have done the same work for the same time frame, and still going strong today. Please take time to consider the options you have when you feel there are none. There are always options.

quoted from Andrea Beaman:

The work I do is essential to the health of my clients and for the world at large. First and foremost, I’m in the business of preventative healthcare and natural healing, and I’ve been doing this work for over two decades. I provide preventative and healing methods for a wide variety of diseases and conditions. Some examples include:

Heart Disease (over 15 million deaths per year!)
Cancer Prevention
Brain Health/Alzheimer’s
Digestion
Liver Detox/Cleansing
Kidney Support
Bone Health
Thyroid Disease

My job as a wellness practitioner is to understand the illness, including Covid-19, from an alternative and preventative perspective and provide natural ways to rebalance the body and heal using diet, lifestyle, and consciousness.

This knowledge is essential for a variety of reasons, many of which became abundantly clear during this coronavirus outbreak:

*People on lockdown couldn’t get out to visit a doctor, go for a blood test, or even get access to a hospital as many were overwhelmed with Covid-19 cases.
*For a wide variety of Covid-19 symptoms (poor immunity, dry cough, sore throat, loss of taste, and smell) people have access to medicine in their kitchen and don’t even know it.
*Beyond Covid-19, people are struggling with many other conditions and need support and guidance on how to manage them from home.

As a health coach and wellness practitioner, I provide service to clients. I care for their needs as they seek support for a variety of symptoms related to Covid-19 and other conditions.

My service is essential to the health and well being of people during this crisis and beyond.

Doctors and healthcare workers are doing work that is essential.
People preparing food are doing work that is essential.
Grocery store workers are doing work that is essential.
Delivery services are doing work that is essential.
Police and fire departments are doing work that is essential. Transportation workers are doing work that is essential.

Those people are getting paid for their service without any shame attached to it.

The work that preventative and alternative healthcare workers like myself and you, and many other wellness practitioners, do is also essential.

We are providing a service to PREVENT and HEAL, and take the burden OFF an overwhelmed healthcare system.

As we’ve clearly witnessed, our healthcare system CANNOT handle the amount of stress that this virus presented to society as a whole.

So, whether it’s this virus or the next disease that overtakes the population, wellness practitioners of all kinds are providing essential service to help people make it through with their health, their life, and their sanity, intact. There is no shame in that.

I encourage you too, to get back to doing this essential work – you are needed in the world now more than ever.

visions

Hello everyone. I am striving to be on here blogging several times a week instead of just on Fridays, but Fridays for sure 🙂

Visions are something people fear for some odd reasons. I believe it stems from media and movies portraying it all incorrectly. I believe we need to change this.

Visions are amazing tools for our benefit. I have had many that have saved lives, turned events around for the better, simply freaked me out, and put me on a path for the life better than I dreamed.

I have a vision that is developing after years of it just being a picture in my mind. In the communities that surround me, I see connections in one place, classes and seminars teaching holistic pathway, counselors and therapists working side by side, and integration of holistic practices where people come to have whole health care. I see this more than ever in my life. I have people coming into my life with the skills for this conglomeration. I feel the calling I have always had is finally in the end of its gestation and about to be birthed, as beautiful as a newborn baby. Whole health clinic (or whatever name comes upon it), we will not be separated any longer, but connected as one!

I will keep you all posted, and if you feel you are someone interested in this amazing adventure with me, please contact me so we can meet and connect and keep it building. WE all need this. Our communities need this. Our world needs this. Lets start a thing together.

Remedies and More Remedies, Part 1 – Let the Healing Begin!

Biofeedback is amazing.  I am a biofeedback specialist with a SCIO device, a stress reduction facilitator.  (more information about biofeedback)  There is much to learn about the amazing mind, body, and soul from stress studies, and indicator patterns from the device.   I am going to give you some education about your body, some common, yet overlooked, perspective, and recommended remedies tried and true.

Heart Disease and Circulation indicators

part one

ADRENAL EXHAUSTION

Adrenal and kidney are in the same complex of the body…they are the battery of the body. They can become exhausted. Quote from Quantum Academies: ” They say that this battery is 50% rechargeable, which means you can exhaust it to a point, and by resting and rejuvenating, your body will naturally recharge. Maybe this is the intelligence behind resting on the seventh day.  However, if we push ourselves beyond normal  exhaustion, we may get a ‘second wind’ of energy, but at this point, we are dipping into our non-rechargeable half of the battery.”

THINK ABOUT THIS! I loved the 7th day thing because I am a firm believer in it, and it works. But, think on the rest of what was said. Listen to your inner core. Do you hear the truth of what you just read?

The adrenals are little glands perched atop our kidneys. Without them, our bodies could not adapt to stress.  I once knew a school teacher who relied on caffeine to get him through his workday for his entire career.  Caffeine and sugar are two of the worst dietary adrenal stressors, by the way.  By the time he retired, his adrenals were ‘toast’, and he was on medication on which his life depended.  Under-active and exhausted adrenals are a prime signature of chronic stress. A combination of poor nutrition in the first place along with accumulated habitual stress responses conspire to exhaust our batteries, sometimes beyond repair.   Under chronic stress, the adrenals can become initially overactive (hyperadrenia). Symptoms and conditions include: (males) muscular ‘square build’, baldness, excess body hair(testosterone)…(females) excess body hair, unusual physical strength, puffy face, fluid retention, rapid pulse, high blood pressure. This then turns into low adrenals (exhausted) due to chronic stress and poor nutritional support. Symptoms are: excess neck, head, and shoulder tension, sensitivity to bright lights, unusual craving for salt, ‘lump’ in the throat when upset, must lie down when stressed or upset, allergies-(especially skin, inhalant, asthma), form goosebumps easily, excess perspiration, cold sweats, high pitched voice when stressed, easily strained by noise, heart ‘pounds’.

The adrenals have an inner core and outer core. The inner (Medulla) is directly affected by Stress and the Sympathetic Nervous system (the gas pedal).  The outer (cortex) produces hormones that affect almost all bodily systems.  With a strong stress link, issues like chronic anxiety, fear, anger, and hypervigilance can lead to adrenal exhaustion.  The emotional correlates would be chronic defeatism, feeling overpowered, self-neglected, self-anger (depression) and lack of self-approval.  Knowing these issues points to the importance of considering adrenal exhaustion and supporting adrenal regeneration when dealing with these emotional themes.  (Addison’s disease and Cushing’s syndrome are more serious conditions of this exhaustion).  Hypoglycemia and menopausal symptoms are also low adrenal issues.

Daily minerals and vitamins to help recharge Adrenals:

B5 (pantothenic acid) depletion is a huge contributor to atrophy (shrinkage of the glands). Never take B’s single; use a multi B with 100 mg of each in the formula.

Vitamin C (2000 mg), Vitamin E (400-800 mg natural source, vegan source), B-12(sublingual), B-6, Potassium (1/4 tsp creme of Tartar daily), Adrenal Glandular (natural source or vegan)

A hair analysis is a lifeline to knowing what your body needs and the amounts it needs. I do these as well, long distance or local.  Contact me for more information on this amazing test (simple and inexpensive but worth its weight in gold).

I am ready

I am ready.

Ready for what you ask?

I am ready to sit next to you rather than across from you. I am willing to put the issue in front of us. I am ready to listen, ask questions, and accept that I may not fully understand the issue. I am ready to acknowledge what you do well.  I am ready to empower you.  I am ready to recognize your strengths and how you can use them to address your challenges.  I am ready to genuinely thank you for your efforts.  I am ready to talk to you about how resolving will lead you to your growth and opportunity.

I am ready to model the vulnerability and openness that I will see from you.

Are you ready?

MASSIVE ACTION

MASSIVE ACTION PLAN

A food allergy, cancer, lymes, or any other mycroplasma parsite prion blood issue, needs a plan to destroy and heal. I have combine several plans to come up with one that I believe, with time, will destroy the thing causing the mammalian allergy within me from a tic (called alpha gal).  I plan to keep at it until it is gone. I will not live this way. I confirm from the Almighty himself that my energy and my gusto with his healing plan will succeed.

Whole food supplements
 Amla Powder
 Apricot Kernals or powder (and other fruit seeds)
 Minerals and vitamins:** The best way to know what your body needs is through hair analysis and saliva testing, not blood work tests; the invader in the body will absorb the vitamins and minerals from your body, so a consistent daily dose of supplementation is necessary to combat nutrition deficiency (causing hormone and other imbalances and issues). (I am certified Health Coach and do the hair analysis and consultation). FIND a good nutritionist or Health Coach who can help you create the supplement plan your body needs. It will change every 6 months to 9 months as your body’s needs change.
Plant extracts
 Beta Glucan (I get this from the Amla powder)
 Colloidal silver (dark, high silver: I purchase from Herbal Healer Academy Dr. McCain)
 Turmeric/Cur cumin
 Boswella/Frankincense (I use the oil on head and feet)
 D3 from the sun, lots of sun (if you take a supplement, use a plant based, not Lanolin)
 Vitamin C, highest amount you can tolerate (usually up to 5,000 mg a day; if you have loose stool, you have met your max amt.) (if you take Amla, no need for extra C because it has the 2nd highest concentration of vitamin C in all foods)
Gut
 Probiotics (make your own, or find high quality)
 Oil of oregano
 Quercetin (in food or supplement)
 Proteolytic enzymes (pineapple, papaya, etc…or the supplements for these)
 Enzyme therapy
Herbs
 Dandelion Root (powder or tea)
 Essiac Tea (I order the mix from The Bulk Herb Store, and make this myself, OR order the Essiac tincture from Herbal healer Academy)
 Jason Winter’s Tea
 Other Detox teas from Yogi and Bulk Herb Store
Detox
 HMD Herbal Drainage formula
 Dr. Clarks Parsite Cleanse OR
 (I use) Intestinal Freedom and Wormwood Plus Tincture

Cancer, Parasites, Mycroplasma (Lyme, Alpha Gal, etc.), ETC. IS A DEVINE CALL TO ACTION!
• Everything (issue good or bad) in our life is because of us, the choices we make.
• These are natural and normal, but the immune system is the difference for what becomes a tumor, chronic, or enhanced in other ways.
• By the time diagnosis , it is too late for prevention.
• The body created it and the body can heal it.

Make life goals, make future plans, Live for these goals, enjoy life as you have it, do not fear, focus on the positive, focus on the things that bring joy, live as if you had not issue; The mind can do great things.

Vegetables: garlic, onion, cauliflower, broccoli, dark greens
Fruits: cranberries, lemons (highest cancer fruits by dose): tart/sour is the key

Organic cran powder

Green Lemonade: 1 lemon, 4 granny smith apples (with seeds and peals)

Eat berries all year long, every day.

Oats with fruit
 With cinnamon—cinnamon amps the antioxidants,
 With seeds—seeds add nutrition needed
 With blackstrap molasses—huge nutrition

Amla berry—highest concentration of antioxidant on Earth, known, and 2nd highest in vitamin; this berry is anti-everything bad.

16-24 oz of water in the morning, some of that with lemon, and total of 64-90 ounces by end of day.

30 minutes or more of exercise, with cardio

64 ounces of juice daily, especially in morning for cleansing

Salads (meaning more than two kinds of vegetables not counting lettuce) daily

Fruit, lots of it

Need to have a mostly raw diet (90 %), but some cooked foods ok: rice, beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, lentils, fish, and biblically clean meats (in moderation); some dairy is ok also, especially yogurt.

The things in this Massive Action resource are from a lot of research. I use essential oils and biofeedback and massage in combination of these nutrition things. I believe meditation, prayer, and action are all part of the process of elimination of the invaders (I call them weeds). We have to use a whole body/mind/spirit approach to healing for all things.
This is the protocol I am using, and yes, I do it all, and never let up. I will eliminate the alpha gal and other weeds in my body. I have combated many things in my lifetime, and this is no exception.
