The diagnosis is NOT in charge. Wisdom, Hope, Purpose and Trust ARE in charge.

The diagnosis is NOT in charge. Wisdom, Hope, Purpose and Trust ARE in charge.

Healing often begins when we stop organizing our lives around fear and start building them around wisdom, hope, and purpose.

Every decision is filtered through symptoms, reactions, appointments, restrictions, and uncertainty. While these concerns are real, there is a difference between honoring a condition and allowing it to rule every part of life. Breaking free does not mean symptoms disappear overnight (they could, but generally not). It means the health challenge is no longer in charge, and that decisions, joy, boundaries, and trust that Yahweh is still guiding your path, are in charge of your life.

Scripture shows us in:

  • James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God…”
  • Proverbs 3:5–6 – Trust in Yahweh rather than your own understanding.

Early on in my Ag and Lyme timeline, survival was my focus.  Every symptom, every food, every appointment, every disappointment demanded my focus. Like a gardener battling an invasive vine, I spent my energy cutting back what threatened to overtake my life.  Does this sound familiar to you? Was this a moment in your story? Is it your moment now?

Seasons are important to the garden. That season of survival focus matters. Weeds must be identified before they can be removed, as I have explained in previous episodes.

But Yahweh never intended for your life to become a garden whose only purpose was fighting weeds.

(I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY WHAT I RECORDED IN MY GARDEN recently)

PART II

I hope you gleaned something from the recording.  I felt it was important to just play the live recording rather than try to rewrite it.  Have you thought about how you look at your life? Thinking about how you look at your physical yard or garden, and how you look at other’s yards and gardens, will reveal your outlook in life towards things such as health challenges we are speaking of. Luke 12 says “… we should not worry about what we eat or what you put on, for all these things nations seek after, but your Father knows what your needs are…Seek His Kingdom and all these things will be added to you, for your Father choses to give you the kingdom.”  Our whole perspective on life and our life challenges can change with this one switch in our seeking. The commands tell us not to covet, and that means not just in things but in thoughts; it means not to covet other’s lives and gardens but seek after God’s garden first…seeking after God first means to walk in His ways.

An example of this is in Joy.

Sometimes joy is found in the smallest blossoms—a meal your body tolerates, a peaceful morning, or a conversation with someone who understands because they are going through it to.

Let’s go through some questions that we commonly ask that goes opposite of joy, AND find a different approach to the questions.  In client sessions concerning Alpha Gal or Lyme diseases or other challenges, this is one of my favorite ways to help someone in the process toward healing.

“What if I make the wrong decision?” TURN the question into research. “What do you think might be getting in the way of resolving this? Have you noticed any patterns or triggers?”

If you have anger or frustration about your diagnosis, because you are in “protecting myself” mode, or “no one understands” mode, leaving you feeling neglected. Try this:

“I am angry but I choose to serve God and put others over myself.  I will help them understand what I need, and listen to how they need me to communicate with them. This leads to small or big “blossoms” in your healing process.

What if you are saying “I am feeling confused and embarrassed”, so you stay distracted with constant input about your condition to feel better?  This just makes you frantic and insecure, so lets try this:

“What is it I really want or need? What outcome do you feel most ready to work on right now?  Who or what could support you in working through this?  You probably want to be still. And when you are still you will hear the Lord’s voice and that will satisfy.   This will lead to prayer and meditation, calming and reassurance, and security.

AS you can see, We have Choices how we think, what we ask, and what we dwell upon.

How have you successfully handled challenges in the past?

What strengths or resources do you have that could help in this situation?

These are questions that are part of my sessions with people.  Each situation is unique and requires me to tune in the story in front of me.  Each session teaches me just about as much as I am facilitating the person.

Alpha Gal and Lyme (we can put an number of health challenges here)… CAN make life feel unpredictable, but Scripture repeatedly reminds us that Yahweh has not abandoned His people, and there are answers out there for each one of you.

In sessions with me we will cover testing that can identify the things that are not assimilating correctly in the body, such as methylation and absorption of the things that are going into your body. Testing is vital to figure things out.  You will find out what your body needs and requires.  There is not a cookie cutter way. It is unique per person. Testing will save you a lot of money and time in guesswork. I use lab tests to Uncover the underlying metabolic, nutritional, and toxic drivers of chronic diseases like AG and Lyme in your body; these tests are comprehensive for all kinds of things, but in particular, for this podcast subject, I have access to comprehensive lyme and co-infections and tick born direct detection.   Along with the tests, I have brain health programs to match your needs, for instance for anxiety, grief, trauma or sleep issues that are showing themselves In big ways as a result of the AG and Lyme.  Together we will find the right lifestyle changes you need. These changes will include: detoxing your life in your home, food you consume, environment around you, what you wear, amount of movement in your day, and  mental wellness.   That was a lot to take in.  I am here to walk you through all of it.

Let me give you Some Ideas for you today:

Keep a record of answered prayers, unexpected provision, and moments when Yahweh carried you through what once seemed impossible, and some of those other things we talked about earlier in the small blossoms: the meals or foods you finally tolerate, the clear head instead of brain fog, the chat with a friend from work who acquired AG, the scripture you read one morning about peace and pursuit of things that are true, lovely and good.

This is a shift from the focus of fear and uncertainty, toward faithful, intentional living.

Many people living with chronic illness feel as though life has been taken from them. Scripture tells a different story. Throughout the Bible, Yahweh is in the work of restoration. He restores broken people, renews weary minds, strengthens the weak, and leads those who feel lost.

Reclaiming your life is not pretending the illness never happened. It is refusing to let the illness have the final word.

Healing may unfold in different ways and on different timelines, but Yahweh’s invitation remains the same: to walk with Him, receive His wisdom, recover your identity, establish healthy boundaries, experience His joy, and trust that the Master Gardener who has led you this far will continue to guide each step ahead.

A gardener decides what belongs inside the fence and what does not.

You are allowed to protect your time, your energy, your healing, and your peace.

The hardest part of gardening is waiting because Seeds grow where no one can see and Roots deepen long before flowers appears above ground.

There may be seasons when you cannot see what Yahweh is doing beneath the surface, but hidden growth is still growth.

The Master Gardener has not forgotten where He planted you.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.” (Psalm 32:8)
